Description: Exceptional extra large bath mixer taps. These original bath taps are crafted from cast brass. Manufactured by John Bolding & Sons. This company was one of Britain's most prestigious, historic manufacturers of high-quality brass taps, sanitary ware, and plumbing systems. Founded in London in 1822, they spent nearly a century and a half as a premier tap manufacturer, supplying elite fixtures to stately homes, luxury hotels, and major public buildings across the country. This set have a long spout reach of 10” and weigh almost 5 kilos. They are without doubt the most impressive taps of this type that I have come across. Condition: Excellent. The brass has been very lightly hand polished to retain the warm patina and is unlacquered, therefore the brass will gently age and can be further polished to maintain this level of shine. The taps have been fully refurbished and are sold ready to install. Compatible with modern plumbing systems. With a thread size of 1” BSP these will be dispatched with an adapter in brass to give a thread size of 3/4” BSP (standard UK tap thread size).
