Antique Brass Swan Taps
Antique Brass Swan Taps
Description: Rare large antique taps. These taps are formed of 2 parts. A swan spout and cross head handles, both dating from the 19th Century. They have been engineered in order for the taps to be fully compatible with modern plumbing systems. A brass extension pipe has been added in keeping with the antique style, which provides a good reach for the spout over a sink or bath. The cross head handles are fitted with ceramic quarter turn valves inside the new brass head works to turn the water on and off. At the back, this in turn is connected to brass valves and copper pipework, which would be hidden inside the wall. The result is a stunning set of large antique taps, an amazing focal point for a bathroom or kitchen. They are heavy, being made of solid cast brass and weigh over 5.5kg.
Condition: These taps are over 100 years old and will show signs of wear commensurate with use. To try and maintain as much of the beautiful aged patina as possible they have been carefully hand polished. All new cast brass components have had the brass aged in order to match with the patina on the antique pieces. These taps have been entirely refurbished and tested to mains pressure. They are sold ready to install.
Guarantee: These taps are fully guaranteed for 5 years from date of purchase.
