Description: An original, quality 19th Century English doorstop/porter. This fine example is in lightly polished brass. The oval loop handle has a turned stem with a stepped bell shaped base. A heavy brass loading gives plenty of stability to this door stop, which weighs over 3.2 kg and provides the perfect finishing touch for a country house style.
Condition: Very good. Sensitively restored to retain the character and patina of the piece. Some slight signs of wear from age and use.
