Description: Original late 18th Century wrought iron grappling hook. These were made individually by local blacksmiths or crafts people. A wonderful example with a four hooks. Great patina to the piece adding to its charm. Interestingly this example has a label attached which gives detailed information on its previous owner and where they purchased it from for their collection. (Petworth in the late 1970’s).

Condition: Very good. In full working order, wear commensurate with the age of the piece.
